As the world becomes increasingly urbanized, the dynamism and vitality of cities become are becoming ever more important. Urban development in the developing countries has shown a conspicuous increase and played a considerable role in economic development. However, it is also associated with negative impacts on cities and surroundings by environment degradation, widened economic disparity and incremental urban disasters, where there are concentrations of population without adequate infrastructure or financing and management capacity.
Our experience brings particular insight to policy formulation and planning relating to urban development, land use and housing, economic development, infrastructure provision, disaster management and funding, institutional arrangement and administrative capacity development.
We provide pragmatic, complete development planning services, using our extensive expertise to assist clients including international and national government agencies, local authorities and firms in the private sector. We draw on all of our planning expertise to tackle urban development issues such as urban economic enhancement, climate change mitigation and urban poverty eradication, while meeting local infrastructure needs such as utilities, energy and transport.
